Nowadays, traffic congestion is a major challenge for most governments and individuals. Carpooling is an alternative solution for traffic congestion which this approach directly reduces the number of vehicles on the road. USM carpooling is a service provided by the university for USM staff and students looking for carpool services. In many universities in Malaysia, the services are not popular, and does not get the recognition it deserves due to modern e-hailing services like MULA and Grab. This project aims to provide a platform for the USM staff and students to practice carpooling. This mobile app help customers locate and contact the nearest carpool driver available by creating a system that will act as the “middle party” to connect carpool drivers and customers. This will provide user safety as the drivers and customers are among USM staff and students, besides being’s time efficient and cheaper alternatives. Therefore, this application is expected to help boost the convenience of existing platform in order to provide more efficient and relevant system for carpool drivers to promote their services to potential customers.

The system would be capable of, but not limited to, the following:
• Booking system.
• Customers will be able to choose their preferred drivers.
• Profile view for users and drivers (fee rate, schedule, status) and users.
• Ride payments via in app payment, besides cash method.
