Heart Disease Patient Remote Monitoring Systems for Decision Making
Heart Disease Patient Remote Monitoring Systems for Decision Making (Heartio-DSS)
Heart disease or Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the main cause of morbidity and mortality in Malaysia that does not apply based on the patients' races and age. Therefore, a healthcare monitoring system can be very useful to track and monitor heart disease patients remotely from anywhere all the time. For this reason, this study aims to develop a heart disease patient remote monitoring systems for decision making. The proposed system monitors patients remotely, manages and classifies patient historical data, displays patient categorized data and provides decision support features to assist doctors for better decision making. In order to create decision support features, machine learning techniques such as decision tree was utilized in the system. Patient biomedical data such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen, ECG and PPG were classified, and a decision tree was created to assist the doctor to make the proper decision precisely.
