Blood Source System
A blood bank is responsible for taking blood from various donors, monitoring the database of blood types, and delivering the needed blood to the hospital that is in emergencies. Sometimes, the problem that blood banks encounter does not solely depend on the insufficient number of donors but also on finding a reliable donor at the right time.
Thus, a project called BloodSource System is proposed to overcome these problems by offering a website or platform that can help blood banks to find blood donors especially during emergencies based on blood group or location. This, in turn, will eliminate delays in getting blood stock for the patient. BloodSource System is a web-based system that allows users to register on the website if they are prepared to donate their blood when required. Therefore, this system will be efficient since all the registered users are the ones who willing to donate their blood.
Request for blood also can be made by medical practitioners when there is an insufficient amount of blood stock where the system will then notify all users to donate if they can. Blood stock levels from various blood banks nationwide also will be updated from time to time in this system so that users able to know when to donate. Users also can see a list of upcoming blood donation programs in which users can register to participate. A systematic way to manage the database of donor's donation history and blood banks could also be achieved with this system. It is hoped that this system can help to save more lives.
