Multiplayer Game Development with Unity 4

GM012

Multiplayer Dungeon Run is a multiplayer game that can be played with friends. Killing slimes and hitting high scores with friends through a randomly generated dungeon can be addictive. Video games are very common in this era and gaming industry is thriving more than ever. Although there are a lot of games had already existed in the market, people are attracted to new games that are innovative and thus it has a strong market. The main motivation of this project is to make a game that is fun for friends to play together and help to release stress when needed. The primary objectives of this project are to solve some of the problems that exist in current games in the market such as co-op games are being repetitive, the frustration and stress that comes from co-op games due to players not working well together in teams and the act of "griefing". The project aims to overcome these issues by implement different strategies to each problem: RNG (Random Number Generator) elements, reducing difficulty and punishment of death. This project will be using Unity as the game engine and Photon as the network solution. This project expected to be playable online where 4 people can connect and play. By playing this game, players can practice and develop skills such as eye-to-hand coordination, communication skills and cooperation. The project will be based on 3 existing games which are Dragon Nest, Phantasy Star Online 2 and Minecraft. The project analysis is done by using the Game Design Document. Agile development using Kanban Board is used as the project development methodology.
