My name is Wan Syazlina but most of the time people call me Syasya. I'm absolutely passionate about phone app development and building things. I am an aspiring software engineer who dreams to build and develop innovative software someday for a career. I don't only like to code but my favorite past-time includes building mechanical keyboards and create fun video content on my YouTube Channel. I minor in graphic communications and love to draw too. I have an interest in videos and media content. Hence the reason why my project is partially based on that.

AutoCurate: An automatic task-based learning videos curation tool
A 2015 study conducted by software company Kaltura concluded that 93% of teachers believe that the use of educational videos improves the learning experience. They also serve to break down barriers, such as student and campus location, which were once insurmountable.
Nowadays videos are abundant online, students require curation tools to help them curate valuable video content so that they can get information in a quicker and organized way.
Hence, this AutoCurate Project I built is to provide an easy video content curation tool that helps ease a students learning experience when looking for the perfect video to watch or learn from their text-based search.
AutoCurate is an android mobile application that provides ease of accessibility and creates a quick on-the-go video watching. The layout and navigation are easy and minimalistic to prevent information overload and distractions. The tool can list the top 5 highly ranked, most viewed, and suitable video based on the searched text.
To curate and organize all related data, web scraping techniques will be used. Web scraping refers to the extraction of data from a website. So, this method will be used to retrieve and parse the related video data from YouTube and redisplay the content to the students in a well-structured format.
Students are their own curators for this tool as the student can categorize, organize, and share the videos among other students too if they wish. I built this app mostly using Kotlin and Java programming language using the MVVM architecture model in which I implement the use of web scraping techniques and created an interesting CRUD tool for video learning or watching.
