In order to build a strong team, the coach needs to carefully select the players. However, each coach has their own criteria for selecting players and each team also has its own style. Some coaches may be well-known to train a team with high level teamwork, and some may be thinking the players with higher agility are better. Even weather, playing field, sponsor and many other factors will influence the result. Besides that, if the selection criteria are not focused on individual academic ratings, manual selection is not appropriate. This will cause great uncertainty in the result.
When the decision makers' judgements are under uncertainty, it is relatively difficult for them to make a decision. The fuzzy set theory is a strong tool which can deal with the uncertainty in case of subjective, incomplete, and vague information.
Current project build a system named Football Player Selection System(FPSS). FPSS help player to look for opportunities to join a football team and help coach to food for the best player who just meets coach's need. FPSS use fuzzy logic algorithm as the core algorithm, it provides the most suitable advice according to the coach�s standards and avoids the influence of useless factors like personal relationship and reputation.
